Green tangerines have 10x more vitamin C derivatives than their standard orange-colored counterparts - the green is due to a higher concentration of chlorophyll that protects the tangerine from the sun.

Many vitamin C products are formulated with pure ascorbic acid, which while potent and effective, oxidizes quickly and cannot always be used for all skin types.
